We received an internet order early in my shift today. Nothing unusual about this except the credit card was marked as declined. We attempt to contact the customer but get voice mail and no call back. Other driver decides to take this order as part of a double run with another order a couple of blocks away.

Customer finally calls back while driver is still on the road and acknowledges declined CC. Driver is informed and brings the order back.

A while later another internet order is posted with the same address and apt number as the order above. AGAIN the credit card used is marked declined. Again the customer is called and a message left that the card was declined. At least this time the order stays in the store and ultimately is again canceled.

A little while later another internet order is posted with the same address and apt number as the order above. AGAIN the credit card used is marked declined. I point this out to the MOD and they immediately cancel the order with out further ado.

NO doing the same thing over and over again will NOT produce different results. Money will NOT magically appear in your account and NO we will not just give you food.

Probably hoping to get a different person or shift and it just might go through. And if it does then the scam works and they'll be trying a lot more often.

Yes I know there sometimes will be problems with the banking system such as a deposit is waiting in the wings, or some transaction made it before ours did or the over-the-phone/internet balance shows you "should" have enough, etc. but after the 2d time .........

The orders were placed on the internet via red roof pizza's website. all CC transactions got through the franchise's CC processor no humans involved.

Chances are they first used one family member's card; that was declined so they tried another family member's card; that was declined so they used another family member's card - not realizing that just because a different name is on the card doesn't make it a different account.
