I went down to our storage unit today to pay some rent. When I got there one of the guys behind the desk was dealing with an SC on the other end of the phone who was asking all kinds of relevant and not questions about the units and building (including who manufactured the elevator...it's not a fancy apartment-building one if that's what you're asking). I overhear this:
"Yes, if a bed takes up X amount of space on the truck it will take up the same amount of space in the room. Yes, I'm sure. No, it doesn't mean the truck is smaller....I don't know how large your bed is, I just said if something takes up that amount of room it takes up that amount of room. You can store things inside the shelves of a bookcase, and they don't take up that much floor space."
Me: "I didn't know you guys had TARDIS circuitry. Can we upgrade to one of those rooms?"
Storage guy: "We were dealing with her before you walked in. Told her to come in if she wanted to measure stuff, but she thinks we have some magic ability to know exactly what she has and can Tetris it all into a unit before we rent it to her."
