For the past three years, something has come up whenever I tried/wanted to go to Colorado Irish Festival. Last year, it was a horrendous rainstorm. The year before that, my sister was visiting and the festival was the same weekend as her last weekend in town. This year, it finally happened and it was awesome

Looks awesome! You are beautiful by the way. That was my first thought when I saw your picture, "Wow! She is adorable/beautiful!". I have a few drips of Irish in me. (along with German, English, Welsh, Caribbean...I think that covers it. I'm a bit of a mutt.) I'm glad the stars finally aligned and you got to have so much fun!

Sounds like fun, I'm glad you were able to go and had a great time.

I really enjoy cultural festivals, and wish I could attend more of them.
I don't have an attitude problem. You have a perception problem.

There's more than one, actually. The one I went to was the one in Littleton, but both Estes Park and Colorado Springs have one as well. Highlands Ranch also has the Scottish festival/Highland Games.

My biggest regret this year was not browsing the jewelry stall where I got my claddagh necklace (which I dunno if you can see it, but I'm wearing it in the pictures) last time.

hahaha I live in Colorado Springs. I'm so freaking clueless. I need to tell my half Irish husband. See if he's heard of them. I am apparently completely out of the loop. I just know there is like a thousand foot waterslide coming, and the metaphysical celebration.

The one here in the Springs is in...Memorial Park, I believe. The only particularly big name/not local band I've heard of that has been there, though, was Albannach.

...........huh. So I wrote a note on FB about the concert (it's a thing I do). In it, I mentioned my inability to see half of Gaelic Storm's set because of everyone in the crowd standing up and blocking the view. I just got a message from one of the organizers of the festival. She read what I'd written and asked me for suggestions to put out to the other organizers to make things better for future years. I told her 'designated seating for wheelchairs that doesn't make me feel like I'm a naughty child being put in the corner' and 'better bathroom situation'.
