  • Maybe almost robbed by an alien

Was at work tonight and an idiot in an alien mask and winter gloves comes in. He sort of follows me down an aisle and either sees me freaking out or realizes I’m grabbing my cellphone. He pulls the mask up, says he was just playing, and runs off. I didn’t realize there was another customer in the store and apparently her husband say the guy come in so he came in. The guy saw him and took off. Cops are called and the find him standing down the street staring in the window of the Dollar General trying to scare people inside. According to the cop that came to talk to us he’s a totally idiot who is lucky he didn’t get shot by someone.

The idiot is lucky that being talked to by the cops is the only thing that happened. The people he scared could have done serious damage to him. I'm sorry you got scared by an idiot. Keep your guard up, the next one might not just be an idiot.

I know. They were asking on the phone if he had a weapon which freaked me out more but I told them he never pulled one out.

We have Tank where I work. Pepper spray would be the least of the things that happened to your idiot had he come here. Idiots are idiots and don't think about the bad things that could happen while they are being idiots.

Where I work we always get some teen(s) at least once or twice a month trying to come into the store (Mall of Wart) wearing full head masks but with regular street clothes. When confronted they ALWAYS argue they have the right to wear what they want. Ya, not if you want to get shot for being suspected of attempted robbery or worse. We even make people who wear their motorcycle helmet inside the store take them off.

Sadly enough, this jag-off doesn't get it & likely never will..he'll continue doing it & thinking it's funny, until he does it to the wrong person & he gets a one way trip to the autopsy table

Shit like this is probably why where I live, it's illegal to wear a mask in public if you are over the age of 16.

What about people who never remove their sunglasses indoors? This I can never understand...once I get inside a building on a bright, sunny day, the sunglasses come off immediately. And yet at work, there are literally dozens of customers each day who come up to the registers still wearing their sunglasses. Makes NO sense to me, unless these are people with eyes that are particularly sensitive to light (or are trying to hide a shiner).

And even if it's not illegal, try this at a bank and they'll hit the panic button first and ask questions later.

Does that law apply on Halloween? Can an adult wear a costume on that day only if it's sans mask?

This was the one BIG concern I had when I worked nights at the gas station. Full faced HALLOWEEN masks. I asked my manager for advise but he could not offer any.

An option from my flatmate is that they might be transitional lenses, hers can take up to 15 minutes to go from the sunglass mode to looking normal.

I on the other hand tend to forget that I'm wearing them.
