Talk about a short day.

I work on a train that takes cruise ship passengers from Seward to Anchorage. Today we had the Silverspoons ship. We got everyone on the train and then went nowhere. Turns out the track was flooded about thirteen miles out and the powers that be decided not to go out. So we ended up getting everyone off the train and back on the ship. You should have heard the grumbling. Anyway we got the day off and we have tomorrow off since they don't expect to have the tracks cleared. It's turned out to be a good day though. A bunch of the crew went out for breakfast this morning. We then descended on one of the local watering holes where a former coworker works. I played shuffleboard for the first time. That was pretty fun.

Hopefully we'll be able to go out on Saturday. Losing out on a 20 hour day would just suck. Not to mention the fact we don't have many more runs left.
