  • This is one way to avoid the impound fees

This one way to avoid Argabarga and his kin from towing you out of lot you don't belong in-

Set your car on fire once it's loaded on the truck and ready to go. Didn't actually stop the tow truck operator however as he dropped the car and extinguished the fire before the fire trucks and police arrived. Fool got arrested, car got towed anyways.

    Mission unaccomplished.

Sounds like one of those repo shows where they deadbeat tried to vandalize his car when it was being taken.
I'm trying to see things from your point of view, but I can't get my head that far up my keister!

That is the logic actually. There train of thought is "If I can't have it, no one can." Considering Repo companies get deductions on the "bounty" based off extensive damage, it really is to hurt them out of spite.

If I understand this story correctly, the car was being towed away because it was illegally parked, not because the owner failed to make payments.

Why would this fool set HIS OWN CAR on fire just to keep it from being towed away?

          Here's his song.

In that case, I'd think that the idiot would be burning himself a new one in the end b/c if he owes anything on the vehicle, then the lien holder would come after them for the remainder of the loan, as well as criminal charges of arson.

Exactly, DGC. Repo'ed cars are auctioned off sub-wholesale with the borrower liable for any shortage. Sometimes, the debt will be forgiven, but that can be taxable.
