This happened a while ago, but I thought I'd post it as a comment about Game of Thrones reminded me. 
So my team was having a meeting, discussing all the things coming down the pike. One of the things coming up was an embargo. On Sunday, two weeks away, all change orders would be forbidden. This was to help with a software upgrade. I saw no problem, but I don't (can't) watch TV.
One of the other ladies pointed out that this might be a bad day for that as it was the premier of the Game of Thrones and people would be calling in to add HBO at the VERY LAST SECOND! Someone else commented that they didn't deserve much sympathy if they waited until the final day. And someone else said, yeah, but they WILL and do we really want to piss off a lot of people?
Our manager said she wasn't sure if anyone had noticed that issue and she'd take it to our Director. And then, mysteriously, the embargo was moved out another week.
It was likely for the best.
