I have an interview at HEB this Saturday.

    It is a group interview.

The reason why I wanted to go to the group interview was because I was only getting 20.5 hours this week at Kroger. But I was asked yesterday if I could work from 12 to 6 this Wednesday on one of my days off. So I will be working 26.5 hours instead.

HEB pays more than Kroger, but it would take longer for me to get to work on the bus.

    My question is this...

What should I tell HEB why I want to work for them?

I cannot quit Kroger to work for HEB if I cannot get a minimum of 25 hours a week.

The truth: you're looking for a position that offers a more dependable amount of hours. If their plans don't include that option then you're saving yourself and them time spent on the interview.

      Thanks.

I will use that when I introduce myself at the group interview and explain why want to work at HEB.
