  • So...new job

So my background check came back good (no issues there) and I start soon (I think Monday) at a new hotel. I really would like to be closer to home (it's a long commute and money for regional tickets may be an issue) but I'm excited to actually be doing the job I really want. Also, for those who asked me my hunting techniques, I WILL get back to you on PM, I've just been either running wild with hunting or depressed with the process. Sorry!

      Congrats, Spirit!
“There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged.
One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world.
The other, of course, involves orcs." -- John Rogers

Thanks! Now to figure out where the bus money is going to come from.

How was I supposed to know someone was slipping you Birth Control in the food I've been making for you lately?

That's just awesome, getting to do something you have always wanted to do. The more you love your job, the easier it is to shrug off the SCs.

To be clear, the position is the same one I had at my old job. I really like the work, it was just the boss who didn't understand that labor laws arent based on convenience and that ADA accommodation is required was an issue. The management company that runs that hotel has been sued twice over disability issues. Hubby and I are considering making it 3. In better news today is my birthday, and my new job is my present! I did get some other gifts from family but I'm also considering this one from God or the universe or whatever you prefer.
