Finally I can post a short, but still funny story from my new job!
As I've written before, I'm now an IT tech within a small software company.
(Important small background: When we can't pick up the phone for some reason, the call is redirected to a call center where they take a message and send us the message by e-mail. The e-mail contains the customer's contact info, the issue they are calling about and what action they would like us to take.)
Here today, a planned re-do of our internet network was started, so our phones (that run on IP) were down and I had to tele-commute from home. All our current customers were notified in advance that the phone lines would be down ALL day and we could be contacted by e-mail ONLY.
In the afternoon, this gem arrived by mail from the call center:
Customer: XX with YY company, tel. ZZ
Issue: Would like to know when your phones are back up
Action preferred: Call back
I managed to get back to the customer by e-mail and resolve their issue (they're regulars and very sweet, so no problems there), but still...
