    I got to have the following conversation today

    Me: I'm calling about a room reservation I made some weeks ago. The gentlemen staying at the hotel haven't gotten their confirmation email with the hotel address and details, I'm wondering if you could please resend it to them.

    CSR: okay, the confirmation emails were sent, I'm going to read you out the email to see if the address was spelled wrong

    The csr started trailing off most of the way through and started giggling at the end. She also corrected the email address and resent the confirmation details. I'm still trying to decide if the original agent I talked to started reading something or got a knock at the door while I was talking to him.
    Pain and suffering are inevitable...misery is optional.

    Not to mention whether that email actually went somewhere and now somebody is scratching their head over a hotel reservation confirmation that they never made ...

      It's possible I suppose, but I've never heard of an email address ending with .thedoor

      I'm a little surprised the reservations team didn't get a bounced back and call to confirm the email address though.
      Pain and suffering are inevitable...misery is optional.
