  • Things my granddaughters say

So, I have started a blog.

You see, I feel I have the cleverest, witty granddaughters on the planet, so I have been sharing their usually daily little gems with my Facebook friends.
They keep telling me I need to write this stuff down and put it in a book, and the blog idea has been suggested a few times too.
(Not sure if they want me to blog it so they don't have to bother scrolling past my posts, or they really do think the material is funny.)
I decide I would try it anyway, because, I think, if I was reading these funny little things and they were posted by someone else, I would get a laugh out of them.

I have been slowly going back through my Facebook history and copying the little gems from my girls, so the format of my blog is just, for now re-sharing of a lot of old stuff with the dates I posted on Facebook, mixed with some of the new stuff they come up with.

Anyway, in the category of kids saying the darndest things, here is "Things my granddaughters say"
Too tired of living and too tired to end it. What a conundrum.

Those are two hilarious girls, Ree.

I'll definitely have to bookmark this to read more later.

      Thanks DGC!

That's not even half of the material. LOL
A lot of that is from the older girl and I have only scratched the surface of the posts about the littler one.
Of course, I am biased, but I think they are hilarious.

My younger daughter at 3 insisted that her name wasn't B********, it was "Dear Sweet Girl" because that's what Grandma called her!

          LOL
Kids are so funny. Their little brains just don't work like an adult's brain. It's hilarious.
For me, having my grandchildren around has kept me sane and gives me something to laugh about every day.

My friend's older daughter used to think her name was "Nono", because about everything her parents said to her started with "No, no"...

              "No, no--don't do that!"
              "No, no--put that down!"
"No, no--you can't carry the cat by its tail!"

.... Thankfully she (mostly) grew out of such boundary-pushing...
“There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged.
One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world.
The other, of course, involves orcs." -- John Rogers
