So I walk into the office today, on my second day on the job, and prepare to greet the boss.
Only the boss isn't there.
Um ... but the door was open (the office is at street level, opens right into the small parking lot).
He's not in any of the other small offices in the suite (fellow lawyers sometimes use them as a meeting site).
He's not in the kitchenette.
Bathroom door is open; he's definitely not in there.
WTF?!?
At one point I was actually starting to peer around and under desks looking for -- you know -- a corpus ...
Anybody else here ever walk into an unexpectedly empty office and start looking for bodies?
Apparently his car had to go in to the shop so he had to take it there and then get a lift back to work.
But why leave the office COMPLETELY OPEN? For at least FORTY-FIVE MINUTES?
