  • My new job nearly kills me and other

So I decided to take a job at Amazonian, delivering. And I liked it. The people are friendly and professional. However, there was some glaring cons:

    1. I had to train other newbies. The newbies had horrible attitudes and riding along with them all day aka stuck in a van was horrible. I considered telling the sup, but didn't want to be a snitch.

    2. Vans were very big and hard to maneuver down narrow streets. I would pray every day to not hit anyone with it on 2 way roads designed for one car.

    3. 200 deliveries a day. The most I've done is 50 before, so I would constantly need help and feel disappointed in myself.

And last, extreme fatigue. I didn't know how serious it was working 10 hrs per day, but it is. I figured I just had to get used to it and force myself through. Except when I was driving home yawning and I misjudged the guy stopping in the road's speed. I saw him stop and I braked, but was going to fast and slammed into him. No one was hurt, but now I have points on my license, my mom's old car is cracked, and I'll have to pay for the damage on the guy's car, if insurance doesn't. Worst, I feel really bad for hitting him, I hate when bad drivers slam into me, and now I'VE done it. I could've killed myself and him. So after thinking about it, I decoded to resign. Shame, because I did like it, and the pay was good, but I can't risk my life on it. No job is worth that. :/
    Oh well.

    Can't reason with the unreasonable.
The only thing worse than not getting hired is getting hired.

You show more sense and strength than most folks would. Certainly more than I did with my own abusive job way back when.

Don't be too hard on yourself. You were doing your best in an impossible situation. I hope your next job is better.
