  • Help to unlink myself from a scammer page.

Long story short : A webpage has linked their contact info for FB /Twitter/Pintrest to my name and from what i have understood by the disgrunted persons that have contacted me are scamming people.

I have been threathend with the FBI, US goverment and the authoritys so far just because the company has put links to me and i can't even see the page when i try to check it out. This has been going on for over 6 months and im getting sick of it.
Made a public album where i have posted some screenshots of the messeges in hope to stop getting these messages but as we all know, nobody reads the signs.

Today i was informed that the webpage has a direct link to my personal facebook profile as their contact by someone trying to get in contact with the real people behind it.

Can you more homepage savvy people help me either take down this page or get the links removed from me. Cause im getting sick of this. All i have is the whois info.
    Is it possible?

Might be worth actually calling the FBI and/or your state Attorney General, they presumably have some sort of computer crimes unit.

Except for the fact that im not an american so i doubt that the FBI are willing to help me and the local policeforce internet divison are more focused on the big crimes as drugs/weapons/human trafficking/pedofiles/organized crime then helping someone being targeted by a scammers victims.
If i could ask them for help trust me i would. Now CS is my only hope on figuring out how to get the link to me removed.

The quickest solution might be to close out your present FB/Twitter/Pinterest accounts and start new ones. Just don't link the old accounts to the new accounts.

Damn. If your national police are no help, you may be able to find a non-governmental agency or non-profit group that focuses on dealing with the scammers. You might also try the controlling agency for their top-level domain and/or whoever they're renting their company domain from.

While you're at it, you can at least change your Facebook page to say "if you're looking for [ScamCo], YOU HAVE BEEN SCAMMED. This is not a ScamCo page, it is a random person who they have victimized. Please contact legal authorities in your own country."

Come to think of it, Facebook's administration might also offer some options, see if you can contact them.

I hate to say it, as it is a pain, but this is probably your best bet, Even if you get the site shutdown, this info is out there. Contact Facebook and ask if there is a way to move all your info to a new profile,

Thanks guys, you got me thinking. Why should i throw away my account when i had it for so long when i can destroy the link by changing the name on the userid.
Im not the only one that has been hijacked just because we have the same username (i prefer to use alias on most communities) so there are still two out there getting the anger from the scammers victims.

csquared im going to take you up on that offer and PM you when i wake up in the morning.
