  • Shooting at the mall where I used to work

Two shot, one dead, as far as I know. I used to live 5 minutes from there but now I'm 15-20 minutes away. I had thought about running to Macy's today since it's been so dead (would feel OK about social distancing) and glad I didn't.

When I worked there we had someone with a gun in the mall but he didn't shoot anyone.

Update: the one who died was a 19-year-old working at Scheel's. No one should have to lose a family member because of some stupid argument in a food court.

At least you weren't hurt. Thank goodness you stayed away.

Right? I got coupons for Macy's and wanted to go. But the things I could get, I could order online. Keepin' my butt home or in my car for a while.

Who has two thumbs and was there the day before it happened? THIS GUY.

I miss that face, Irv. I randomly drove to your town for no reason last vacation I was on. It seems like the kind of place I'd like to live, depending on the neighborhood. I just like to be close to water. Funny that I say that because I'm literally blocks from the lake here. But I like your lake better. I sometimes miss my old digs by the mall but from what I've seen, it's good that I got out of there. It's getting more crowded and the gun incidents seem to be growing in number. I'm still fairly close but 15 minutes is 15 minutes, at least.

And a good thing, given that "so dead" turned out to be overly literal....

Also: As per live coverage the various police are not letting people in or out" of the mall... I can imagine how all the Sucky Customers responded to that.
