After years of not having a steady income, and dealing with the pandemic lockdown, things are definitely better!
I got a job that started at the beginning of this month. I get some nifty benefits and paid vacation. They treat me like a person - I know you can all relate to that. I'm not used to it, but I love it. I have a flexible work schedule, and the day I started, everyone welcomed me to the company and even called me to let me know how glad they are that I'm there!
When I applied for the job, I just did the online application and didn't think much about it. Then I got an interview, and the HR manager let me know the benefits I'd be getting if I worked there. After a second interview, I got an offer, which I took.
At around the same time, I got tons of work from one of my freelance clients. So, when I issue an invoice for them, yeah, it'll be big.
AND!
I finally decided to go back to school and get a degree, which I don't yet have. I'm working towards my bachelor's. I found a good American university and they accepted me (yay!), so I just finished my first year there. I should graduate next year (my academic record was such that I entered the university as a junior).
I just looked at my grades for the term. Not one of them was below 95%.
Yay me!
