Turkey vs Italy... (0-3)
Turkey didn't really show up.Good win for Italy-first half was lots of shots but nothing on target.Once the first goal had gone in,it was a comprehensive win for Italy-home support is definitely helping here

Wales vs Switzerland... (1-1)
Good point for Wales who grew as the game went on and managed an equalizer. The second Swiss goal was definitely a good foot or two offside-for an opening game both times deserved something.The Swiss will be more disappointed with that and it sets up Wales well for the later games.

Denmark vs Finland...(abandoned at moment)
A fairly even game, but this has been overshadowed by the collapse of Christian Eriksen-medical staff are attending him and CPR is being given. This does not look good-Danish players are looking very worried and the stadium has gone very quiet-it's now been some minutes since he was last seen moving-prayers and thoughts going up for him.

Denmark vs Finland...(abandoned at moment)

Game resumed after a 90min delay. The Danish players were visibly shaken as they return to the field and ended up losing 1-0

Christian is awake and stable in the hospital. Denmark and Finland fans were chanting his name at one point. Words of support have been flooding in from all over.

Belgium vs Russia... (3-0)
A straightforward win for Belgium-two good goals for Lukaku, a rather dismal performance by Russia in their first game.

England vs Croatia...(1-0)
A good win for England,some crisp passing and after several near misses,a nicely worked goal by Raheem Sterling. The first time that England have ever won their opening games in the Euros

Austria vs North Macedonia...(3-1)
An expected victory for Austria against the tournament newbies and rank outsiders-they did manage to pull back an equalizer,but a late brace for Austria gave them a comfortable win.

Holland vs the Ukraine... (3-2)
As is seeming to be the case in these tournaments,all the action was in the second half. 0-0 at half time,Holland got themselves into a 2-0 lead before being pegged back. The wonderfully named Denzil Dumfries got the winner to get the Oranges out of a sticky situation...

Scotland vs Czech Republic... (0-2)
The Czechs took advantage of some comedy Scots defending to put in a fantastic strike which goalie Marshall might have had a chance of saving if he had not been wandering about 35 yards off his line(!) as Schick scored a double to down the Scots.

Poland vs Slovakia... (1-2)
This was a surprise-Polish goalie Szczesny became the first goalie to be credited with an own goal in the Euros and despite equalizing, Slovakia finished off to record only their second Euros win. The dismissal of Krychowiak for two yellow cards didn't help matters either.

Spain vs Sweden... (0-0)
On a dismal pitch, Spain struggled to get anywhere. Despite dominating the match in 'one of the most one-sided games ever seen',it was Sweden's Berg who came closest to pulling off a shock win proving its not the amount of possession or shots you have that win it, but the number of times the little ball ends up in the goal.

Hungary vs Portugal... (0-3)
Another goalless first half before Portugal snatched it with a flurry of late goals, with Christiano Ronaldo marking his fifth Euros with two more goals to become the most successful tournament goalie.

Turkey vs Wales...(0-2)
The Welsh livened up their 400 travelling fans in a hostile ground to seal a famous victory despite Gareth Bale blazing a penalty over the bar.

Italy vs Switzerland...(3-0)
Two goals from Locatelli and a last-minute shot from Immobile sent Italy into the next round with a comprehensive 3-0 victory.

Finland vs Russia...(0-1)
Miranchuk's shot on the stroke of halftime gave Russia a slender victory over group outsiders Finland.

Denmark vs Belgium...(1-2)
It was an emotional return to Copenhagen for Denmark with a giant Eriksen shirt unveiled before the game began.After 99 seconds,Poulsen put the Danes ahead and they dominated with over 20 shots on goal. In the second half,Hazard and de Bruyne put Belgium through into the next round.

the Ukraine vs North Macedonia...(2-1)
the Ukraine got their first win a major tournament since Euro 2012 with two first half goals from Yaremchuk and Yarmolenko but Alioski managed to pull one back in the second half.

Holland vs Austria...(2-0)
Holland are on the up after a dismal decade in which they lost every game at Euro 2012 and failed to qualify for Euro 2016. Memphis Depay's penalty started the scoring after 11 minutes and despite being dominant in the first half,it wasn't until the middle of the second half when Dumfries scored his second goal in as many games to get them into the next round.

Croatia vs Czech Republic... (1-1)
Honours split as a Schick penalty takes the lead for the Czechs before Perisic equalizes for Croatia

England vs Scotland... (0-0)
Dour. It rained. Another clean sheet for England.

Sweden vs Slovakia... (1-0)
A Forseberg penalty was all that was needed for Sweden to edge this one ahead of Slovakia

Spain vs Poland... (1-1)
Spain still can't get a win as their early goal for Morata was cancelled out by Lewandowski.

Hungary vs France... (1-1)
France lucky to emerge from one of the potential shocks of the tournament as a dominant Hungary took the lead on the stroke of halftime, but Griezmann pulled out one to save them a point.

Portugal vs Germany... (2-4)
A real humdinger as Ronaldo(yes him again) put Portugal into the lead before two own goals squandered their lead. In the second half, Germany extended their lead through Kai Havertz(who actually became the first German player to score at this tournasment), and Gosens before Jota pulled a consolation goal back.

Italy vs Wales... (1-0)
The last qualifying rounds and Italy secured their spot with a slender victory. Despite losing and Bale squandering another chance,Wales managed to get safely through in second place.

Switzerland vs Turkey... (3-1)
Switzerland will be looking to gain a third-place qualification berth and they did it in style with a 3-1 victory, with goals from Seferovic and a Shaqiri double. Kahveci managed to get Turkey's first and only goal of the tournament but they're still on their way home.

Finland vs Belgium... (0-2)
They left it late but eventually Belgium's style came out on top with an own goal in the 74th minute and a Lukaku shot in the 81st minute to send them through as group winners.

Russia vs Denmark... (1-4)
Denmark once again did Eriksen proud as they took a first half lead through Damsgaard and then extended it with three goals in the last half hour to cap a comprehensive victory over Russia who go home bottom of the group.

North Macedonia vs Holland... (0-3)
A Depay strike in the first half and a Wijnaldum double cemented Holland's position as top of the group whilst North Macedonia finish in bottom,but have impressed in qualifying for their first tournament-including a win over Germany-their first loss in nearly 20 years.

The Ukraine vs Austria... (0-1)
Baumgartner made himself the hero by scoring to send Austria through into the next round and then departing the field covered in blood a few minutes later.

Croatia vs Scotland... (3-1)
Three goals made it a comprehensive win for Croatia to get them through into the next round and send Scotland home again,who maintain their record of not progressing out of the qualifying group

Czech Republic vs England... (0-1)
Raheem Sterling's strike separated the two teams-England also had an offside and a shot on the woodwork to deny the Czechs and guarantee qualification to the next round.

Slovakia vs Spain... (0-5)
Spain's dismally stuttering campaign sprang into life thanks to a helping hand with a comedy howler from goalie Dubravka throwing the ball into his own net. Further scores from Laporte, Sarabia and Torres and another Slovak own goal shot them into qualification whilst Slovakia's hapless performance means they miss out on one of the best-third place slots.

Sweden vs Poland... (3-2)
A thrilling encounter which ebbed and flowed and Poland were unlucky to finish bottom of the group.Sweden were ahead after only 2 minutes from Forsberg,who doubled his lead on the hour,but star Pole striker Lewandowski pulled back to equalize.It was all square until the last minutes of extra time when Claesson got the final winner to send Sweden to the top of the group and Poland home at the bottom.

Germany vs Hungary...(2-2)
Another sensationally seesawing game,with Hungary taking a shock lead.Germany equalized through Kai Havertz before Hungary regained their lead just 60 seconds later.Hungary's hope of a famous result were ended just 6 minutes before time when Goretza broke Hungarian hearts and condemned them to an unwarranted bottom spot,despite two draws against France and Germany.

Portugal vs France...(2-2)
And another excellent game-littered with penalties, Ronaldo converting his to put Portugal ahead before Benzema equalized from the spot. He doubled his lead just after halftime, but another penalty for Ronaldo made it all square to ensure Portugal join France and Germany in the next round.

Italy vs Austria... (2-1)
This was all decided in extra time-0-0 at 90 minutes,Italy scored two goals in the first period. Austria pulled one back but it was not enough.

Holland vs Czech Republic...(0-2)
A shock here as the Czechs knocked out the Orange Army with two late strikes from Schick and Holes

Wales vs Denmark... (0-4)
Wales limped out of the tournament. A goal either side of half time put the Danes well up and in a furious last five minutes, put in another two goals from Maehie and Braithwaite whilst Wales were reduced to 10 men with the dismissal of Harry Wilson.

Belgium vs Portugal...(1-0)
Another of the big names drops as Thorgan Hazard's strike knocks Christiano Ronaldo's team out of the tournament.

England vs Germany... (2-0)
55 years of hurt end as England beat Germany at Wembley. Two strikes from Sterling and Kane in the last quarter of the game send the Three Lions through to the quarterfinals and end Joachim Low's 15 year reign.

Sweden vs the Ukraine... (1-2)
A fantastic finish here. The Ukraine took the lead but Sweden pulled it back before half time. After extra time,it was heading to penalties before Dovbyk's shot in the last minute of stoppage time took the Ukraine through and broke Swedish hearts.

France vs Switzerland... (3-3,5-4 on penalties)
What a dramatic one this was-Switzerland took the lead before in five minutes,they missed a penalty and conceded two goals in quick succession.After dropping back to 3-1 down,they pulled back two goals in the last 10 minutes to take it to penalties. Mbappe missed his shot to drop the World Cup holders out of the tournament

Croatia vs Spain... (3-5)
This one was even better-A wild own goal from 50 yards by the Spanish keeper started this one before Spain managed to equalize. They pulled out to 3-1 before Croatia pulled two goals back in the last five minutes of regular time. The Spanish somehow managed to regroup and two goals in three minutes just before the middle of extra time pulled them far enough ahead to go through and knock Croatia out

QUARTER FINALS:
England vs the Ukraine... (4-0)
This was a romp-Harry Kane scored after just 4 minutes and then two goals in three minutes just after half time and Henderson got his first goal after 62 caps to send England into the semi-finals

Denmark vs the Czech Republic... (2-1)
Another early start after just 5 minutes as Denmark went ahead before extending their lead just before halftime. A Czech goal in the second half pulled them back, but it is the plucky Danes who go through to the first semifinal to face England.

Belgium vs Italy... (2-1)

A stunning clash between the number 1 ranked team in the world and an Italian team unbeaten in 32 games. Italy began the scoring with Barella after an earlier shot was disallowed by VAR and pulled further ahead with an Insigne shot after 44 minutes,but Lukaku equalized within a minute. No further score in the second half made it Italy to go through with Spain in the second semifinal.

Switzerland vs Spain (1-1,3-1 on penalties)
A Swiss own goal put Spain ahead after just 8 minutes,but Switzerland hung up to equalize an hour later to send this through to penalties. Some poor penalties meant Switzerland only netted once, but Spain slotted home through to take them through to the semis.
