No money for you!
It was day of the asses, really. It seemed like every person who came to the cage was in a bad mood.
A little background: You can write personal checks here, we are very strict about it, you must have a slot card with our casino, and you must show that if we have given you money, you have to play that money on the card so that we can track your play to see if you get any more money...
Anyway, this man comes to my window and asks to write a check. I ask for the players card, here's when it gets fun:
I get his card and pull up his account.
Me: Sir, you don't have anything available. How much did you want to write?
He had a line of three hundred but used it. Sometimes if they use their line but have a lot of play the supervisor will give out more.
SC: I want 600.
I looked at his play and
Me: Hold on let me check with my supervisor.
The card showed that he played nine dollars with us.
And wanted six hundred dollars? We're not a bank! He's obviously not spending the money in our casino.
So, I go back there and show the supervisor the card and she gives me the predicted No. I told her I knew but it looks better to the customer that you "tried" to help them out.
Me: I'm sorry sir, based on your play we can't give you anymore money.
SC: But I got this card!
Me: Yes, sir but you need play on it.
SC: Why hasn't my 300 cleared its been like three weeks!
I looked and it had only been a week.
Me: No, its been nearly a week and it takes fourteen days for it to clear out of our system. The check may have cleared with your bank but not our system. It will in four days or so.
SC: Check my play again!
Me: Sir, I'm looking at it right now and you need to spend quite a bit more to even get a hundred dollars let alone six hundred.
SC: This is crazy! They told me if I had this card I could just cash checks!
I know that is a lie.
SC is starting to cause a scene with his yelling. We had a full line and boy did they have a show.
SC: I don't want it this stupid card anymore! Take it!
And he heaved the damn card at me and stormed off. But before he stormed off I yelled
HAVE A GREAT DAY! With a huge smile much like this:
And the next guy who came into my window said:
wow, that guy was an ass.
I agreed with him.
I was shaking a bit. Throwing stuff at me makes me mad. It's immature.
