  • An understandable mistake

    Customer starts unloading groceries at the far end of the belt.

    Me, raising my voice a bit so it carries: "Do you need bags today?"

    Puzzled customer: "Sorry? Did you ask if I've been vaccinated?"



    We're still wearing masks and there's always a fair amount of background racket, so ...

      It seems so but I'm a bit puzzled as to why. We are not (yet) at the point where you need to flash a vaccine passport to go to stores, restaurants and whatnot.

        They had already prepared their response to that question and were primed for it to be asked. When you didn't follow their mental scrip it confused them.
