two tales to just plain stupidity
I took a delivery to one of the hotels by the airport last night. I pull up to the front door and park. there is a guy outside on a bench yapping on his cell phone. I grab my pouch and start in the door. the guy looks at me for a second looks away then goes back to his converstion. he then interupts his conversation and says to me "Is that for room XXX? " I look a the ticket and say "yes it is" OK no prob some people wiat in the lobby. I have him sign the CC slip (DAMN cheap bastard no tip oh well happens all the time these days) . I go inside to give the desk clerk my stores hotel incentive card (they get free pizza after 10 deliveries) and get in my car, start the engine and am ready to pull away. the guy comes running up to my car and starts knocking on the window.
before proceeding I need to tell a few details
I work for PIZZA HUT
1. my car has a BIG topper on it with the company logo (red roof logo name in BIG LETTERS) and phone number
2. car topper is lit up (it is about 10pm and in the aftermath of a nasty storm)
3. my t-shirt has the name of my company on it
4. the delivery pouch has the same logo as #1
I roll down the window wondering if the pizza was messed up (busy and bad night long story) the guy says hey are you Papa JOHNs ??? I say NO.
turns out that he ordered from Papa Johns and his roommate order from us. get the roommate down and he signs the CC slip (damn no tip from either of them) and he goes on his merry way
NOW my point is that PH and PJ have TOTALLY different logos, car toppers, uniforms, uniform colors and pouches.
HOW IN THE HELL CAN YOU NOT PAY ATTENTION TO THE COLOR AND LOGO OF THE COMPANY DELIVERING YOUR FOOD??????
my second tale is about trying to get something for nothing. in one of the local entertainment books we have a coupon for a free or reduced price salad bar. we had at least 5 people call in during lunch today wanting to know if they could use that coupon for our lunch pizza buffet. sorry read what is ON THE FRIGGIN COUPON Morons
