  • Save Me From The Early Birds: The Wedding Edition

Not a month goes by not a single month that this does not happen. Some ignoramus waltzes into our hotel at some insanely early hour. When told that their room is not ready heck in most of these cases the previous nights guests are even checked out yet, they go ballistic.

"We have a wedding to go to" they whine, a wedding that is scheduled at the same time that is check in time, a wedding they never thought to mention when making the reservations. They refuse to understand that in most cases they show up two hours prior to checkout time. The previous guests have bought the right to stay in their rooms until checkout, there are no other rooms available, there is nothing we can do for them. They huff, whine, and pout like it's our fault they did not plan ahead or even inform us of their intentions to arrive early.

What's amusing is these people are never the ones getting married, family, or even in the wedding party. They are simply guests but act as if they should get special treatment just for attending a wedding.

It cracks me up, because these are probably the same people who will ask if they can have late check-out, as they were up late the night before at the wedding reception.
