  • I made his coffee about 5 times...

A regular customer came in and as cute as he is, he was damn annoying. He asked for a small coffee, light 1 sugar. Ok I make it for him. He says, "Oh can you make it a little more light?" Sure. No problem. I give it back to him. Then he says, "Oh the cup is sticky. Can you give me a new cup?" I decide to just give him a brand new coffee. I make it lighter and put the one sugar in. He says, "Oh can you make it lighter and add an extra sugar?" So I just decide to make a new coffee again. I do. Then he says "Oh the coffee is bitter." And I really just about had it. I wanted my co worker to make the coffee and she was laughing and I finally gave him a fresher coffee, very light and 1 sugar and he was finally satisfied. My co worker thought he just liked me and thats why he was giving me a hard time. At least he apologized but damn he was annoying!

I think he could've found a better way to flirt though if that's the case lol. I probably would have given him the sugar and cream to finish making it himself.

Next time, be easier on yourself and just pour it into a new cup. It'll help save your sanity.

I thank the corporate gods every day that we don't usually put the sugar/cream in for customers, that we let them do it themselves. It saves me that headache, I'm sure, at least ten times a day. ^.^

Well that's a stupid way of showing it then! What would you say if he asked you out??!

I just slip the sticky cup itself into a new cup. No pouring = no chance of spilling.

                Yeah, that always works.

                "My coffee is cold!"
                "I'm a lesbian."

                "Where is your tip jar?"
                "Sorry, pal. I'm a lesbian."

"Can I get a lemon bar with that coffee, please?"
                "Lesbian. No can do."

"Can I have a cup of Kona?"
"Well, normally you could, but you see, I'm a lesbian."

                Nyuck, nyuck, nyuck!
Age and wisdom don't necessarily go together. Some people just become stupid with more authority.

I couldn't imagine having to ask someone else to put my sugar in for me - I usually dump about 30 of those sugar packets into a small coffee, and combined with milk and cream it takes me a good five minutes to assemble my coffee.

What that guy pulled is just beyond annoying. Cute or not I would definetly be giving him the serious stink-eye by the end of it all.

                    Didn't think of that.

Until they screw it up. Then you know that somehow it's going to your fault.

Sounds like me with hot tea, some jaws have dropped. I just take comfort in the fact that I take it like Sir Sean Connery - hot and sweet! Hmmm....hot tea....that sounds really good right now! <shuffles off to get tea>

While I don't drink straight out coffee (I usually get a mix of some sort, from Starbucks, say, a vanilla bean), I doubt I would be able to drink it without turning the cup into a sugary sludge... then I'd be able to just spoon it into my mouth, and be buzzed in two different ways all freaking day long!

what does he mean by "make it lighter"

do you have special jedi levatating powers or something?

I assume it means to add more milk, but saying something... logical... like that of course makes NO sense in the SC world!

Make it lighter just means to add more milk or cream.
