Hello All!
I've been a long time watcher of the board, enjoying all the horror stories that naturally come with working in retail, until I finally felt compelled to join after a particularly bad weekend at work.
I'm from merry olde England and have worked in retail since I was 16. When I was 18 I was made redundant when the company I worked for was bought out by another one, thus turning my place of work into a shop that we Brits have nicknamed Primarni. I'm not sure if they have it in the States. I was offered a job there, but having seen the devastation caused by bargain shoppers desperate to get three t-shirts for a £1 or something ridiculous, I politely declined.
After that fun experience, I eventually found work with a company whose name rhymes with Flora Bashley, a reasonably upmarket fashion and home furnishing store. I've been working there for over a year now, in the fashion department and most of the time it's a nightmare. So! Here I am excited to be able to contribute to the board! Be prepared to hear some dreadful tales in the near future...
