    the "Rules" are a bit juvenile, but this comment cracked me up;

      I agree with some of them, people are jerks and rude and mean.

      but you DONT EVER MESS WITH peoples food

      it is unprofessional and completely immoral

      not even as an empty threat, all that does is bring down the reputations of every foodworker ever, it makes the sucky customers suckier and non sucky customers start being sucky.

        People are slamming this poor girl. Aside from the "extra surprise" in the food thing, did she write anything outrageous?

        For the most part all she was asking for was a little respect. If an order is wrong, talk to her like an adult and she'll fix it. If she is out a happy meal toy, too bad. She can't do anything about it.

          She is very angry and unhappy at her job, methinx. If she doesn't like her customers so much, maybe she should find another job.

          There are quite a few "rules" of hers that I don't like. For example:

          *why should we have to memorize what each sandwich has on it? I, for one, will not think "oh, wait, it's a Big Mac, now what did the commercal say again? Oh yes: two all-beef patties, special sauce . . ."
          ----besides, pictures lie. no product ever looks like it does in the advertisement.

          *if you close at 10 PM, you might (*gasp*) have customers until 10 PM. You close at 10, not 9:58. Maybe you should lock the doors?

          *asking if you are ready is not a rude thing. some customers would rather make sure you are ready to take their order. or would you rather us just start talking if you are busy looking at another order or talking to a coworker? we cannot see you through the speaker.

          *again, if a customer does not frequent your restaurant, don't expect them to have your breakfast/lunch schedule memorized. you should have it posted somewhere instead of expecting us to memorize it.


          Maybe she should find a new job instead of complaining about so many things. Just an opinion.

            Geez, I go to other boards and read stuff, and then I come here and think to myself "wow. How refreshing. Adults/mature young people."

            Everything elsewhere always seems to be various elements of the lowest common denomninator trolling and flaming each other.

            This is a nice place. Thanks.

              I don't see the problem with this person's complaint, they are just venting. Like we do...

                All I'm saying is that she shouldn't be surprised if people come in when her restaurant is still open to the public. With me, if a place is close to closing, I will look in and see if they "look" closed. If I can still get in and am not told that they are closed, then I expect service. If she doesn't want people coming in when she is cleaning, I think she should lock the doors/put chairs on tables/turn of lights/etc (signs of a store being closed). If people still try to come in, then I think she has a right to complain.

                I dealt with the same thing at Kroger all the time: unless I had my register light off/a barrier up/both, I had no right to get huffy about people coming to my lane when I was about to get off work.

                    Plus I'm pretty sure that in some places even threatening to do such a thing could result in disciplinary action.
