There is so much stupidity that occurs in Courtesy. When the tills aren't busy and courtesy is, Customers ask if they can not wait in line for service or asks a people greeter if they can do the exchange I mean c-mon.... DUH!! There is more than meets the eye when some lady comes to courtesy to ask a question about the damaged box and If she can return it like that. Well If you bought it like that then you would know the precautions. And dieeyes who ask what they can do with the product when they can't return it within 90 days. Go through the manufacturer is what you should be doing but you're question is just as bright as "Can I get this without paying?". And lets not fail to mention the SC playing the convincement game with the manager in regards to getting a refund of an amount that The company owes these by having a bank statement as proof so they can have enough money for bus passes.
Here's another stupid stunt an SC pulls for a receipt a bank statememt that only shows the amount and not the producy and UPC. Oh god who let the retards out!!

I hate those...sorry, your credit card statement does absolutely nothing for me.

Similar principle: I had a couple once who wanted to return a couple of books a week or two after Christmas. They were in the bargain department but were big gifty coffee table books at about $25 each. On December 26th all calendars, holiday cards, gift wrap, and a good portion of the bargain gift merchandise go 50% off. Including these books.

Of course they didn't have a receipt, and I told them I could give them a store credit for half price. They did not like that answer. They insisted that they had bought the books with a gift card before Christmas, and they still had the gift card, so they wanted me to call for the history on the card and that would prove their case. All the gift card people will tell me is how much they spent on what date. I tell the couple this. My manager gets involved at that point and tells me to call.

So I do. I learn from that card's history that they did use the card before Christmas, spending more than the cost of the 2 books at full price.

The rep also told me that they used the same gift card after Christmas, spending more than the cost of the 2 books at half price.

So in other words, they may or may not have bought the books before Christmas, which I already knew without wasting 5 minutes calling the gift card people.

Yes, they got credit for the full price.
