This just in...
We're two blocks away from a grocery store, so quite often, people will walk over there, get a huge amount of groceries, and bring them back in the cart. Most people will then leave the cart outside, and carry their groceries in. Some will bring the cart in the lobby and get one of the Residence pushcarts to take their groceries up. Some will try and take the entire shopping cart up.
This is a tale of someone in the last group.
Guy tries to take his shopping cart in, we tell him no. He gets a little upset, and refuses the offer of one of the pushcarts. After stewing for a few minutes, he asks if we can watch the cart. Sure, no problem.
Then he, without saying anything, starts to take it over to the elevator. I and my co-worker remind him that he can't take it upstairs. He then tells us to shut up. Repeatedly. Any time we try to say anything. So I got his ID (told him he wasn't going to be allowed upstairs if he didn't show it to me), and left a note for my boss.
Fun fact: In the Residence Handbook, in the Community Standards section, it specifically says "Failure to cooperate with and/or verbal or physical harassment or abuse of a staff member may result in standards action, eviction from Residence and/or referral to the Colleg's disciplinary process."
