IC: Impatient Customer
Me: who else
So I show up at work and open up shop, transfer the lines .. the usual.. 7AM... Ugh. Not 5 min after we "open" do i get a call from a farmer (man they are up early). [We service dairy equipment, to give the conversation some context]
Me: Service how can I help you?
IC: My milker unit is broken, I need someone to come and look at it
Me: Ok, All of our service guys are heading in to the shop right now and should be here in about 15 - 20 min, I'll send someone out as soon as they are in.
IC: But you have 24h service!
(We do but for emergencies, and we quite literally have to wake someone up)
ME: Yes i'll send someone out as soon as they come in, they will be there right away
IC: But you have 24h service, cant frank come in on his way to work
ME: Frank dosent really live that way, and he would need to pick up parts from here anyway. I can send him or someone else as soon as they come in to pick up the parts.
IC: I need this fixed right away, I can use the milker until its fixed.
ME: I'll send out someone as soon as they come in and can pick up the parts they need.
IC: 24h service my ass! *hangs up*
and all this to fix one out of 8 milkers, so he might have to milk for an extra 20 min this morning... grrrrrrrr.....
*Also I like how most of our customers thinks its on the way to/from home to stop by their farm in the middle of nowhere
