I caught SC in action

Don't know if this is the right place, but what the heck.

I went to WallyWorld to get some late night snacks.

I was walking past the refrigerated meats and watched two SC changing the weight labels on packages of Bacon. One of them had a weight and price label in hand and was helping the other SC in peeling off the other label.

Must remember that Bacon is priced per pound and those packages are usually pretty uniform, so theree might be 5% difference in the weight between packages.

Pretty hard up to switch weight lables to save a few nickels.

No "real" management type around when you need one and most of the store staff are powerless to actually do something about the SC.

Knowing the WallyWorld's I've been in, the lame management would say "we don't want to inconvenience our customers".

after 10 PM, there is only going to be one, maybe 2 "real" managers, and AP is a big maybe, I don't really worry about it since there's nothing I can do and they don't show a commitment to stopping theft

I have seen people arrested though, our AP is doing their job well

Funny thing, when I was working there. There was one manager that was a bitch. She would actually let the thieves get away with the crap. And accuse the people returning things that had a receipt of trying to scam the store. Even though it was within that time limit. Everyday, she would be chewing people out no matter what.

weird... one of my professors tells a story how they pulled him aside, almost had him arrested(not sure on this bit), fined him, almost banned him from the store for.... get this... breaking a 3-pack of rolaids to purchase one of the smaller ones inside...

sure, he probably shouldn't have done it, but this is in extreme opposition to what yall are suggesting that they don't want do squat about stealing because they dont want to inconvenience the "customers"
