As you may have read from this thread: http://www.customerssuck.com/board/s...ad.php?t=27107 we've been getting a lot of prank calls. Well, one of the little punks actually came into the store and had the nerve to ask me about Battletoads.

But I was prepared.

SC: Idiot 15 year old kid.
Me: I rule you!

SC: Do you guys have battletoads?
Me: No.
SC: Can you look?
ME: No, I can't look, and I'm not going to do a barrel roll or shoop de whoop, I'm not charging my lasers, I don't like mudkip, and I'm not going to use the boost to chase. You do know that everytime you guys call up here we call the police and trace the phone calls, now how happy do you think your mom's going to be when she gets a phone call about someone from your number making harassing phone calls? It gets old fast, really.

I don't even know how a 15 year old kid could even know what the frick that game is. I played Battletoads on my NES when I was like 10 years old.

Battle Toads. In the flesh, so to speak. But it's no longer in production and you can't get it from a game store anymore. Maybe a collector, but I doubt it.

Roommate X plays it on occasion. He has it torrented and uses an emulator to play it on the computer.

A very quick synopsis of "BattleToads":
Way back when, when the Earth was new and all, the #chans added video game boards to their lists, and posters would ask for the names of games that posted screen shots were from. Anonymous, tired of sourcing for everyone, just started saying, "It's BattleToads!", even when it obviously was NOT.

That's why I couldn't post for a while. Got an IP ban cuz I was arguing a point, and was making sense... I've decided it's better just to make lame jokes than actually post sense.

And every day, someone posts a phone number and an address of a Gamestop, with the name of an associate to ask for... it's retarded. I feel really bad for the people who get caught in the stupid prank.

Maybe Gamestop should send out Rick Astley clips...

Most people looking for older games ask us, "Do you guys have any NES games?" not "Do you guys have Battletoads duuurrhh!11" (as its part of a specific stupid joke, we're pretty sure it's a pranker.)

We've started doing the *56 (or 57, bad with numbers) thing that puts a trace on the number, then we call the police.
