  • ...Wouldn't it be cheaper to do it the other way...?

We just got a new account with a website that offers apartments at suspiciously low rates.

Now, clients have an incredibly large variety to choose from when it comes to how they want use to answer the phones, just what they want us to say, and what information to give out. For more then one of our clients, we can give all the information regarding medicinal marijuana laws in California.

Now, with all the things they could have us do, they simply have us spout out a single sentence to the caller telling them to go to the website. We are given absolutely NO information beyond that, putting us in a very awkward situation when asked questions about the site.

Now, wouldn't it be cheaper to simply pay for a single recording that says what you want rather then pay monthly for a call center to handle your calls?

Also, your site's main email is at AOL.com.

    Not very trustworthy, just saying.

Curious. Why would the company take on something that is suspicious?

Emphasis mine. Money. That's it. Companies are different entities than individuals under the law, and frankly, it's probably in the call centre's best interests to only be saying the one line. I bet the legal department gave it a thourough go-over before accepting it. The original point still stands though. Why waste the money for a whole call centre when a recording can do the exact same thing for a lot less?
