so I was steering a long line of carts my co worker was pushing today, as it's actually easier to have 1 person push and 1 person steer a line of 20 carts than to push 10 and steer them yourself, and it's the same amount of production if they're close together, and we went past the door, slowly, and this stupid bitch comes out, with plenty of time to go in front of us, but she was barely moving, and then stopped, so obviously we went in front of her and as I walked past she said "yea, that's real nice, walk in front of me" like we had just cut her off or something, but as I said she was barely moving, and had time to go in front of us if she wanted, so I said "you" then my brain to mouth filter kicked in just in time. she expects us to stop a long line of carts just so she doesn't have to wait the few seconds it takes to get past? what would she have done the time we had a line of about 80 on the electric cart pusher and had to break it in half in front of the door?

but at least she didn't go whine to management

See, I don't get that. I see a line of those carts being ferried to and fro in the parking lot by employees and I get the heck out of the way, including letting them pass in front of me. Those poor guys always look like they're huffing and puffing and the carts seem like they have a mind of their own. Looks like the entire line wouldn't be easy to stop. What's the big deal about waiting a few seconds to let someone push the carts in?

you're right about the line being hard to stop. the quickest way to stop it is actually to keep pushing with the perfect amount of force, an amount that you can only discover from experience, it's probably the hardest part of the job. if you just stop pushing the front cart will usually go faster than the second and then the weight from the back part that swings will push the cart forward
