  • The On/Off Button

    Hiya! ^^ I'm new here, and I've been reading for quite awhile. I don't get many suckies or anything, but I work in IT, basically. Now, I get this call from this lady...

    Me-:
    SC:

    Me: *spiel*
    SC: Yeah, my computer won't turn on.
    Me: ...Alright, did make sure all the cords are in firmly?
    SC: Of course I did!
    Me: *Sigh, one of them..* Did you turn on the main power switch in the back?
    SC: .............................*click*...Now what?
    Me: Uh..You turn on the computer...
    SC: I KNEW THAT! *hangs up*

    So, she hung up on me...What else was I supposed to say? Congratz, you're a genius?

    I mean, everyone does that once in awhile, with the power switch, but...

    Well, I know she forgot to turn on her nice switch.

    Don't hurt me for the pun.. ^^;

      Huh. None of my computers ever had a main power switch until my current (home built) one. But I woudl have suggested "That funny found button with the line going through it."

        You were supposed to commerate her genius by way of a shiney plaque. It amazes me how huffy some people get over being corrected on stupid mistakes. Your right, we all make them! And she called for help. Sheesh.

          Welcome

          I believe if ego or pride weren't involved...we would not have much to post about.
