  • I should kick the crap out of you on principle!!!

I guess technically this was at work....
See I used to work at this marina over the summers. I didn't do it this year as I got a job with the government. This place is completely backwoods and most of the people got to know me pretty well. So I was down there today, building a dock for my dad's cabin, it being Father's day and all. Its basically an old pontoon boat that I riped apart and I'm using as a floating dock.
Here is the setting and why I am mentioning any of this at all....
I'm down by the launch, but not in the way, using a circular saw to cut 4x4x12 into the pieces I need. Now I'm basically doing this on the quick, using the uncut pieces in a pile like a mini work bench. Not exactly safest method but I knew what I was doing....
So I'm cutting away when suddenly the piece that I am cutting, moves horizontally from me and jams my saw up. It literally went flying even with my foot on it to hold it in place.
Seems a woman wanted to ask me something and she got sick of waiting for me to stop cutting....so she kicked the wood I was cutting, well nudge according to her. I didn't even realize she was even there as she was standing in my blind spot. Naturally I was a wee bit angry in that not only did she screw up my cut, she could have severely injured me. When I angrily voiced this to her, she responded with
"Maybe your boss should teach you the proper way to speak to a customer"

Again, I don't even work there anymore. Plus, I had never met her before, so she wasn't a regular, and most importantly, she risked my fucking life...so what did she need to know that was so important?
"What body of water is this?" All this insanity...just so you all know...I was literally standing under the metal historic plaque for the marina (it was built 60 years ago) so I guess not only is this woman a dangerous moron, she is also illiterate...

Oh MAN had that been me she would have been SORRY. If she was on your Dad's dock, would that make her trespassing?

I dunno, I'd take her out on a boat first and put her on a dingy tied to my boat. Make sure your atleast 15miles out. Maritime laws apply then, and damnit, she sure did look like a pirate and had a firearm, I think.

I think I have a spare boat anchor you can tie to her neck when you make her walk the plank, like you do to all pirates. Less evidence, that way.

If I was the Op, oh I would've told that SC off with no hesitation after putting myself in danger for kicking that piece of wood.

He did yell at her and she didn't care, TG. That was a dangerous thing for her to do and she's LUCKY he didn't throw her off the dock.

Your foot and any limbs hereafter are under no such subject where they will NOT be liable under the non-customers terms and therefore sold in the nearest corporate deli for various lunchmeat; only as in quarter and half pounds.

Still though, do people have no emotions for people and their well-beings?! of course not, thats natural!

It seems to be a recurring theme that I keep asking people WHY? the po-po weren't called. It's NOT a waste of Police resources to have them escort a trespasser off private property, and it's NOT being a bad employee to report ASSAULT. (let alone the fact that you WEREN'T an employee)

Personally, if this had happened to me... I'd be explaining to the Officers that I just don't know HOW this woman got into the river... I'd have called the cops and not talked to her until they showed up.

Exactly, Craze (well, if you don't throw Idiot Woman into the lake first). I'm really protective of my tools (I LIKE them, they don't argue with me [much]) and I don't like people sneaking up on me when I've got my sawzaw/circular saw/table saw/pickatoolanytool going.

The women, i mean, asshole seems like the type that would be complaining that you were not helping er even if the saw had sliced threw you arm.

I work in a supermarket bakery. Once i burned myself, not bad, just enough to go "ow" and pull my arm back. Normally I wouldn't fill out an Accident Report for that but as I went to the nearest sink to run the about 1" x. 1/8" burn under water.

                        SC: "Hellllllloooooooo, Helllloooooooooo"
Me: I got a burn and will be with you in a minute.
                        SC: I nneeeeeeeeedddddddd hhhhhhhheeelpppppppp nnnnoooooooowwwww!
Me: *OK Asshole, I told you I have burn and will help you in minute, SHUT UP* If you...
                        SC: Nnnnnnnnnoooooooowwwwwwwwwww!!!!!
Me: *faking as much pain as I could, even you it didn't really hurt by now, acting in agony while walk to phone, SC still going now/hello* (hits page) Manger on duty please call ext. XXX immideatley, MOD pleas call XXX. immidealtey"
MOD: *This was the really awesome MOD, Comes running in* what? what?
ME: *Out of SC view, SC still whining* I got a burn here, *points* I rna it under water and it still hurts a little.
MOD: Ok, lets go to the office and out some burn stuff on it.
SC: Whyyyyy won't you help me!? *as MOD and my self walk out*
MOD: Sir, this a serious burn, we need to get immediate med. attention to it.
SC: But he needs to helllllp me.

Mod and I exit. SC stomps out a few minutes later. We did fill out an accident report, but some burn cream on it and a band-aid and in 10 minutes I was back to work.

Just gave the wood a nudge huh?

I would have gone thermal on her ass... Explaining in no uncertain terms what could have happened and what DID happen. Then I would billed her for the damages (wood is NOT cheap) and banned her from the property.

SC's and power tools... always a bad mix!

IMHO when a potential customer has placed you in such danger they are no longer a customer and need to be removed from sight, immediately as they can clearly not be trusted to keep their hands to themselves.
