Was at work tonight, starting my 4th day of training on closing at a local movie rental store. Tonight while my manager is ringing up customers the phone rings...

Me:
OL: Old lady...using the term VERY lightly...I'll explain how I knew it was an old lady at the end...

Me: Thank you for calling <company name> in nowhereville, this is Sarlon. How may I help you?

OL: Yeah, I would like to know what kind of ID you need to have to show proof of age to rent adult movies?

me: .... Any state issued ID, either driver's lisence or picture ID card.

OL: So, my insurance card, kroger card (those little plastic cards for keychains from grocery stores), medical benifits card, RX card...none of those will work? Now mind you I'm asking about for myself not a 3rd party or anyone else.

Me: ................(~thinking~ how would ANY of those show proof of who you are?!) No ma'am I'm sorry only state issued ID cards or drivers lisences are allowed.

Story gets better....45 minutes before closing, an older black woman comes into the store and goes into the back room (where we keep all the "adult" movies). She comes back out and to my horror I recoginize her voice...its the same woman who called!!!

Cripes lady....if you look old enough then you don't HAVE to show ID....the ancients gave you a brain didn't they? or did watching all that girl on girl action muddle your brain cells.

In high school group I was in took a tour to England. One of our number bought alcohol with his Big Splash (local waterpark) pass.

(I was surprised, it did have a photo, but I didn't think it had an age on it).

Yeah...personal research...the male gynos are known for being pervs off the clock. I once worked for a women's clinic as a receptionist 4 years ago, we all went to this dinner the birth control sales rep treated us to and man, the things that came out of the doctor's mouth were enough to make you blush!
