Does this site have a special..say..."Striking back" section? Where, say, you can tell stories about things you've done to get back at customers, or just little things you've done to piss them off?

    Certainly not.

We don't condone acts of violence, food tampering, etc. We don't condone other things because that could encourage others to do similarly and lose their jobs.

If it's something that happened in the past, then fine, but if it happened yesterday and you're boasting about it we won't be happy.

If I remember right, in one of the earlier incarnations of this site there was a section called "I got fired for this.."

I can understand why stories like that are no longer allowed, but it made for great reading!

I remember that section, was highly amusing but I also thought more than once it should have been titled "I got arrested for this" I'm much happier with the site now that Raps is in charge, the original site had a lot of stories that left a bad taste in my mouth.

Just like COPS sometimes looked more like "Civil Rights Violations on Parade".

It struck me that some of the writers of those stories forgot that customers ARE required to keep a store open.

While customers may suck, retaliating takes you BENEATH their level.

I thought the question was valid. There are perfectly harmless ways of exacting retribution on someone who has caused you grief. And sc's arent pigs (most of the time anyway) they are people who dont enjoy being messed with any more than any of us do. Thats why it feels so good to get SWEET REVENGE. I'm not talking about food tampering or violence.

For example, there was this guy who used to throw strawberry jelly at me in the morning if the bowl of ready jellies wasnt pure blackberry and grape. Because he didnt like strawberry. Plus he never tipped. He was a regular and regularly made my mornings suck ass.
One day I noticed he was driving behind me as we were on a single lane, crowded and windy road down to the river on a summer afternoon. Parking was tight and as we drove into the lot I noticed there just might be enough room for two more cars if I parked like a normal person. I didnt, I purposefully hogged the space and he had to park way uphill and hike his ass for a quarter mile down to the swimming hole. It felt good, and I would do it again.

It's also a valid answer. We heartily recommend against premeditated and instant revenge, save for matters of self-defence. The jelly-thrower should have been banned. I'm not saying what you did was right or wrong, but it could have ended up with you being seen by someone else and chastised at work. Far too many threads on this board have dealt with how an employee was disciplined for what they did outside of work.

                It's self-preservation. It's a safety mechanism.

If someone takes a swing at you and you mace them instantly, I'll be leading the cheering. If instead you hunt them down and burn their house to the ground, then boast about it on here, I'm likely to take action on here. Inbetween are shades of grey. Those are our guidelines, but we err on the side of member safety.

We also want to take the higher moral ground. We're not the same as the unthinking EWs and SCs. We're better than them.

Raps is right. It's one thing to act in self-defence or laugh at a karmic retribution, and another thing to keep an eye out for that person and commit petty revenge.

Sorry guys. Was curious to see if there was a section like that. Just thought it'd be interesting to read about.
