    Guest: yes Dave, I have a complaint about my reservation

    Me: ok

    Guest: I was supposed to get a discount with the comeback club but my confirmation says pre comeback club, so I dont believe I got the discount

    Me: ok let me look at it, yes ma'am you did get the discount

    Guest: well pre means before which means before the discount so I should get a discount off this rate

    Me: No because that would be a double discount....you already got a discount

    Guest: well I dont like the way that is worded, I want a whole new confirmation that says comeback club so I know I got a true discount

    Me: you got a discount

    Guest: well I how am I to know that?

    Me: because I just told you

    Guest: thats not sufficient, you have to either mail me a new confirmation that's wordered correctly or give me an additional discount so I can see my savings

    Me: everyone gets the same confirmation

    Guest: you know I dont like your attitude..........you sound like you disagree with me. I am your customer and that means you need to show me the respect I am due

    Me: I am showing you respect, ma'am

    Guest: no you arent, you think I am just being petty well let me tell you something, I own a $3,000,000 home down there. I was considering having you all manage it but since you couldnt care less about my concerns, I dont think I will. Put your supervisor on the phone this instant

    I'm confused. If she owns a $3,000,000 home there, why the hell is she renting a place to stay?

    Oh, and of course, the fact that she has said home means that you should instantly bow to whatever demand she feels like making at any given time. Sheesh.

            Yunno, I was just thinking the other day, I haven't seen a VRS post in awhile. That lead me to believe either your jellyfish manager grew a spine, or people were being nice to you for a change. Welcome back!

                      I read it (when she mentioned how much her home cost) that she wasn't renting, she had a home to rent. The the "come back club" is aimed at people who used to rent out their homes, but stopped for some reason. I guess the discount is for how much Vrs's company charges the owners to have the company manage the rentings.

                          This thread reminds me of how frustrating it can be when billing systems are set up with the most asinine ways to show discounts or BOGO offers you could possibly come up with.

                              My work schedule and duties have changed so I don't get to read posts anymore, but I had noticed you hadn't been around. I miss your posts. I mean, I'm sorry you have to go through such suckiness...but it makes for great posts!
