  • working at big telco.

background: i have just started at Big telco. i do connections, disconnections, modifications and relocations.

i had a relocation come through. 7 lines (nice & Small). i check the order and there is a no sell - they owe us alot of money and the only thing i can do to the account is disconnect.
i ring the dealer who sent us the work and tell them this. the dealer needs to call the customer to call credit management and get the no sell lifted.
i get an email, the next day saying the customer had called and the no sell lifted. i check the account, and the no sell is lifted - but only for a change of lessee (change of billing name).
i call the dealer again, to tell them that i need a no sell lifted for the relocation as well.
the following day (day 4) the no sell is lifted for the relocation.
i check the numbers and the numbers don't belong to that customer any more.
i call the dealer and they have no clue. i call the customer and they give me the number of there account executive (AE).
AE didn't know about the relocation and dealer didn't know about the Change of lessee.

as the order for the relocation was sent in after the change of lessee paperwork the numbers didn't even belong to the customer when they sent in the relocation request (COL paperwork is a legal document relinquishing ownership of the numbers).

i than has to call the customer and get abused.. fun and games in my first week.
The mere fact that we have the flamethrower means that someone, somewhere once said "You know, I'd really like to set those customers over there on fire, but don't possess the means to do it"
