Today, I was doing lottery for a customer when another customer came up demanding a few packs of cigarettes and he was in line at a checkout at the time. He wanted them right away so I got them which delayed my current customer who luckily was pretty patient and wasn't in a hurry.

I would have ignored him until I finished with my current customer. It's the right thing to do.Ridiculous 2009 Predictions: Evil Queen will beat Martha Stewart to death with a muffin pan. All hail Evil Queen! (Some things don't need elaboration.....) -- Jester

I would've ignored him until I was finished with my current customer if that was even possible. Unfortunately, he was so demanding and impatient that I got his cigarettes just so he would stop.
It really annoys me when customers are in a hurry. When that happens, I do what I can to get them out as quickly as possible.

I'd probably get in trouble for this, but I'd probably turn to him, and in a very calm, cool voice I'd say "I'm sorry sir, I'll be able to help you as soon as I finish with him/her." then continue with the transaction completely ignoring him..
What's he gonna do, complain that I stood there while he yelled at me?Carpe Jugulum : Go for the throat.
