I am so sick and tired of customers constantly calling in to ask our pricing when they have our catalog sitting in their hands.

Here's an exchange that I had today.

Me: (Opening Spiel)

SC: I'd like to know the price of an item, it's on page 111, it's the purple widget.

Me: That would be $xx.xx for x Quantity, which is the price of all the widgets in the catalog, no matter the color.

SC: Okay, how much is the blue widget?

Me: $xx.xx

SC: The green widget?

Me: $xx.xx

SC: The red widget.

Me: Ma'am, all the widgets are the same price, no matter the color.

SC: I just want to know how much each of the widgets of different colors are!!!!!

Me: Ma'am they are all the same price.

SC: If you're not going to be helpful, then I'm not ordering from you!!!!

Me: Thank you for calling, have a great day! ::click::

We figured this out in another forum I frequent. Now that we have such advanced healthcare and artificial insemination and the like, as well as the ability to sue, we've pretty much slaughtered poor Darwin. If only we could do as was mentioned in that other thread and remove all warning labels (seriously, what kind of dummy thinks it's ok to dry your hair WHILE taking a bath??), do away with "suing", and stop letting the idiots breed, then we'll be fine.

Trying to stay out of Fratching on this one, so I'll only say most warning labels like that are because of fear of lawsuits.

It probably depends on the specific product. Some are results, some preventative. I'd like to think the classic chainsaw warning "Do not stop with hands or genitals" was resultant.
