  • Why I hate this time of the year(very long)

Sorry this is so long but hopefully it will make up for my lack of posts.

*Disclaimer* Please know that I do not want to offend anyone and if you are in fact Canadian do not take this personally.

    The Shoppers from Hell.

Around this time of the year we get shopping groups from Canada. Usually they are sweet old ladies who are doing xmas shopping who may get a little drunk and may ask for my housemen to bring extra blankets to their room so they can try to have there way with him. I am not joking the houseman refused to go to one room because they tried to pull him in by his shirt. . But not this group, this group were mean and nasty (only to me for some reason) and if I gave some one a cheaper rate because they just walked in off the street at 6:30 in the morning and were going to leave at noon they thought that was a sin against baby Jesus. It did not matter how I tried to explain that they were only going to be in the room for a few hours not days so they were not getting ripped off.

The worst day was when this group was checking out and one troll of a women came up to me demanding to know why their were no oranges in the breakfast and how I ruined her day because "I can not start my day with out an orange". I explained to her that we ended up throwing away more oranges than we used so we stopped ordering them and that if it was really necessary she could go across the street to the gas station to get one. (Yes I know not the politest thing but it was 7:15 and I was suppose to leave at 7). She gives me a death glare I just give her my best "nothing you do will make me respond" looks and she walks away.

Accursed demons of the north and the vile monsters which spawned them.

This may be a bit of an exaggeration but this youth sports group was the worst. I don't remember exactly what sport they were doing, I think it was hockey, but they were the worst in every way. I should have know because after a group of them checked in not 5 min later I get a call about noise from the floor i sent them. I am thinking their is no way that they are making that much noise already. So I go up and sure enough the kids were playing with what ever equipment they had I tell them to stop or i will take what they were playing with, then one of the parents tell me that I have no right to tell her kids what to do and to help her get in to her room. That's right I got noise complaints from them before they even got in to their room. I can not bring myself to go through all that happened but I will give you the highlights:

The parents drinking in the lobby, after I had threaten to call my manager in at 3am because they would not stop parting in the halls, were making fun of African click languages saying that they are retarded because people don't talk like that only animals. Every moment they were there was pure agony.

Children buying peanuts and throwing them every were because one of the team memebers has a deadly allergic reaction. Every time this happens I have to go and clean up 12 bags of peanuts off the floor and deal with someones irate mother. Now I understand that you child has an allergic reaction and I will not question that it is airborne and breathing "in a single peanut molecule will kill him instantly" fine but do not accuse me of letting this happen or doing it my self. But it gets better I take the peanuts away from the "snack table" and refuse to sell them I get a bunch of ew kids complaining.

They did so much more but I can not bring my self to think about. I asked my manager if we could have them banned from the hotel she told me that it would be too much red tape to go through. This means she does not want to fill out the paper work. This group sucked the life out of everyone on staff. They made me hate kids, people, sports, and for a brief moment all of Canada. How dare they unleash this hell storm of SC down upon us. Later my rage subsided and I began to feel sorry for my once sworn enemy, Canada, because I relised that I only had to deal with them for 3 days but they live up their permanently. I weep for you
