Kids are messed up these days. I've read stories about kids killing their parents over Xboxes.Hinakiba777- Student of Divinity-Always trying to get laid.

Well, it's pretty common for kids to set fires, and they never have ANY concept of consequences. I'd chalk the massive property damage part up to bad luck - but I hope the kid gets lots of counselling and is watched very carefully until he is in college!Comment

however i would suggest telling the kid he'll be tried as an adult. even if you're not going to do it.
why?
cos at age 9 you know fire burns
might as well feel the terror of what consequences you'll get for that.
in reality though... probably juvie

Kid goes to Juvie and parent's owe for the damages unless they can get their homeowners insurance to pay for some of it.Figers are vicious I tell ya. They crawl up your leg and steal your belly button lint.
