Well the place I work use to sell cigarettes, roll your own tobacco, snuff and gas that we pumped for you. The gas company that owns the station that my boss was renting from came to him at the begining of the year and said he had to buy the place or it was going on the market. That they were selling off everythign they own except the refineries.
He bought it but.. According to state or federal law the tanks must be replaced when a gas station is sold. He can not afford this. This past monday he told all of us that this was the last week for gas. They came today and started takign the pumps and tanks out.
I am scared because I just do not see us surviving on just the cigarettes and stuff inside. I would guess 90% of our customers come in to get gas and pick up their smokes.
Will be a very interesting time the next few months.... Our hours were cut, I went from 50 to 50 hours a week down to around 40. Others even less.
