First, this is my weekend to work. So I'll probably wind up pulling six days in a row again. Or maybe not. That's just what my tasks and our trucks seem to dictate. Six days in a row might be good, because Wednesday is the first Wednesday of the month, and you know what that means!

Another Damn Senior Day.

I'll probably be working that day in some capacity.

Worse, our Super Duper Uber Mega Lowest Prices of the Season sale starts Thursday. People should receive their ad fliers in the mail by Wednesday. What often happens is people "pre-shop," that is buy the items in the sale the day before the sale starts. Why this happens, I don't know, but people do do this. Personally, I suspect a lot of them return the items to the store for a price adjustment once the sale has started, but I have no way of proving this.

Because the store will likely be crazy busy Thursday, I'll be working Thursday in some capacity.

And Friday? That's the first half day of the school year for the public schools. So if I'm working Friday, I'll spend the early afternoon ushering preteen punks out the door.

So in conclusion---please burn something in effigy for me. kthnxbai.

Far be it from me to want to rain on anybody's parade but...I don't work Senior Day.

Therefore, Another Damn Senior Day is on hiatus unless I hear about anything juicy going on that day from somebody else, which is always possible.

I work Thursday, Friday and Saturday though. I got this coming Sunday off when I thought I'd definitely be working it.
