damn outdates!

the other day i filled a carriage with outdates of candy and juice and crackers

i found vitamins yesterday

i filled 2 trays of outdated stomach remedies and more checkout candy....

its getting to be too much.

i found suppositories on the shelf that expired in dec. of 07!!

this is all stuff OUT ON THE SHELVES.


i see it as doing the manager a favor. but for all i know is she doesnt even know i found all those outdates...that there are any to begin with LOL

when I worked at the gas station, I got bored one Sunday night so I decided to straighten out the small dry goods aisle. things like jars of taco sauce, evaporated milk, cereal (big and small), cookies,pancake mix, coffee, crackers, bagged tuna, condiments, etc.

apparently I was the first one to EVER go through this aisle. I swear that night alone I pulled out like a 1/3 of all the products as out of date. the oldest thing I found was a can of evaporated milk that was like 4 years out of date.

theres more stuff i found that will go bad in november but its something (like twizzlers) that can be eaten right away. im sure ill be the only one to pull those too...

its stuff like reeses cups...those sell pretty well. i love them myself. but the main problem is, the store is not doing the required weekly check for outdates. apparently from what im told by others this manager doesnt do much...

Doesn't that show that old product is just getting new products dumped on it rather then the old being closest to shelfs edge?

yea that too. even though the manger complained that she noticed product wasnt being rotated...she doesnt do it herself...

If she's going to complain that why isn't she doing it herself? Isn't that costing your store money?

haha yea. scanned out a few hundred dollars worth of outdates myself just yesterday.

and who knows how much has been scanned in the past 2 weeks. hundreds probably. esp. if they are vitamins.

idk never heard of my company having something like that.

it sucks when youre a small store. we have like 12 employees...half of them arent properly trained or are just stupid or lazy

nights are usually me and 2 other people. (funny it was like that in my old store that made $20,000 more a week than us)

if its truck day, more people work.

it seems to be 3 sometimes 4 in the morning and 3 at night.

one girl works every other weekend.
we have another who's homestore is another and she only working in our store sat nights
one guy only does sun and mon mornings
one other woman does mon-fri nights (has a second job during the day)
ones new and works a second job

haha yea sounds about right.

i couldve let someone else scan the outdates last night, but she flubbed up the ones she had done earlier. honestly...damages arent that hard, and by now she shouldve known how to have done them. shes been there at least 2 years i think
