  • Why Stephen Colbert is awesome

Stephen Colbert singing with Alicia Keyes.

This link only works in Canada, it seems... For US viewers, you should be able to view the segment on Comedy Central's network. It's the 4th clip from the December 15th, 2009 show.

For viewers elsewhere... I have no idea, but it is damn good.

That's awesome! I missed that one.

Here's one that works in the States.

    Interview: http://www.colbertnation.com/the-col...09/alicia-keys
    Song: http://www.colbertnation.com/the-col...i--broken-down

Is his hood part of his suit jacket? I really can't tell...

He's on the cover of Sports Illustrated this month. My coworker gave me his copy today.

A few weeks ago (?) he had Elvis Costello on, and they did the interview like normal, but Elvis I guess had a cold because he was losing his voice (though he said it was from screaming at speed skating ). So he played the guitar while Stephen sang the song. I'd really like to get that one on my iPod. (Song starts a little after 4:00.)

I sound like a giggly fangirl...

I couldn't find it on YouTube, but Stephen and Elvis sang "(What's So Funny About) Peace, Love and Understanding" together on the Colbert Report's Christmas special and Stephen really did a good job, not making it into a joke.

EDIT: FOUND IT!!! Includes Toby Keith, Willie Nelson, Feist and John Legend.

So they've decided to actually stop someone from watching it on the internet???

That's stupid. The ONLY way you can stop ME from doing something on the internet it to come into MY backyard and physically cut my internet wire.

        Yeah.......just try it pal!

So funny watching him rap to Alica Keys' song, but nonetheless he's freakin' awesome (and pretty hot to boot )!

I downloaded the soundtrack to that a couple weeks ago (saw the special twice when it was on last year). My favorite is "Cold Cold Christmas"

He did a duet once with John Legend of "The Girl is Mine."
Here's the song but I can't find an actual video from the show.
(BTW, "The Girl" is "Lady Liberty" )

If you're talking about the whole "Can't view it from outside Canada," welcome to life for people outside the USofA. Your country does it many, many, MANY more times on things where it makes absolutely no sense to do so.

For instance access to full episodes on the "The Daily Show" website. I love the show, but I'm not always able to watch the late night airing over here, so it would be great if I could view it on (legal) streaming instead.

But oh well, I guess I've better get used to remember to program my HDR to record it instead.

Another theory states that this has already happened.

I was so happy when they moved the reruns from 8/8:30 to 7/7:30 pm cuz that way they don't interfere with my other shows (when there are other shows I want to watch).
