I think my boss is going to ask me if I want to be a manager again.
I mentioned in my previous thread that I had pretty much gone full time again at the pub. This is due to teacher training proving to be VERY expensive, and I am gradually heading towards going into debt. There were a couple of other family reasons but I'm not going into that (don't worry though, it's all ok ) Last night, I was working in the kitchen, when Boss came in to have a talk with me about when I could work, and when I was at school ect.
I also mentioned in Morons in Management that an awesome manager is leaving. This leaves New Manager (arsehole) and Lazy Manager. Boss was talking about how different it was going to be when he left ect, when she pointed something out.
I am the only employee, besides herself, that knows how to run the bar AND kitchen. The other managers don't have a clue, Awesome Manager knew, but he's leaving. Boss realised this as she was talking to me, and started saying how the timing couldn't be better. She had back up if she needed it if something went wrong on the bar or vice-versa.
Boss: So it's great that you're going to be working more. I need someone who will be able to take over if something goes wrong. The other two don't know how to do that! I'll talk to you more about it next week.
Oh God. If she tries to promote me she's going to be very disappointed. I will never, ever, EVER be a manager again. Been there, done that, was fucking horrible!
