Is the movie Avatar based on an 80's cartoon?

    Weregeek thinks so!
I have a...thing. Wanna see it?

I remember seeing once a newspaper column explaining how the Smurfs were satanic. Can't remember the whole thing, but Gargamel was supposed to be Jesus because he wanted to turn them into gold.
Now the trouble about trying to make yourself stupider than you really are is that you very often succeed.

I read an internet blog about how the Smurfs were Communists (they did work for no pay, for the benefit of the village), Papa Smurf was the equivalent of Karl Marx (complete with the same beard!) and Gargamel was the evil Capitalists (you know, the whole being obsessed with gold thing.) I was thinking that person was smoking some really good stuff.

As for Avatar? I have no clue as I haven't seen the film.

They haven't no, but after the massive EPIC FAIL of Super Mario Bros, Nintendo has been holding onto movie rights with a pretty tight grip.

There is a pretty popular fan film right now though.
