  • Easter closing

In the rules and regulations that every renter signs, it has a section that lists all of the holidays the office is closed. Easter is one. I always get a kick out of that because the office is always closed on Sundays.

Last I checked, Easter has never been on any other day.

I can think of one reason to include it: in case the regular hours change. If the office *used* to be open on Sundays, there's no particular reason to remove Easter from the list of closed days, or alternately, if ever you are open on Sundays you'll still be closed Easter.
Now the trouble about trying to make yourself stupider than you really are is that you very often succeed.

Good Friday is a stat holiday here, but Easter Sunday isn't, for precisely that reason. Back when they came up with the list of holidays, Sundays were automatically days off already. So while I actually prefer the idea of Good Friday as a stat, most people who celebrate Easter have the potential to get screwed by the list here.
