Visitor Parking was reserved for an event today sponsored by the President's office. The full sign was on, & the big white sign stating Visitor Parking is closed for a special event was in front of the 2 gates at the Visitor Parking booth.
Guy with an attitude drove up to the outside gate, realizes that gate will not go up, & so he drives up to the booth window. I mention to him the sign stating Visitor Parking is closed for an event & that I have no parking spots available. He asks me where other parking is. I give him several options. He asks me if he has to pay. I say yes. Then he rants about not having any change for the metered lot. Unfortunately I could not help him with that since I do not get change to make change & the circumstances were still the same, & so I told him I had no spots available. He leaves, & as he was exiting, he drove off in a hurry. He turns right at the stop sign which you come to after exiting the faculty/staff garage, which is adjacent to Visitor parking. About 3 minutes later he drives back down the street in front of the Visitor parking booth. He sees a campus cop riding on a bike. He flags him down. The campus cop speaks to him. He points to the Visitor parking garage. The campus cop listens to what he has to say & then points to the metered lot. The guy must have told him he did not have any change for the meter because the campus cop pointed to another lot near the campus. The campus cop leaves.
The guy parks at the metered lot.
